about

This was my very first recording featuring an all star group from NYC: Randy Brecker (trumpet), Chris Potter (sax), Michael Moore (bass), Ron Vincent (drums). It was recorded live on a fully restored 1959 AMPEX 351 1/2" vacuum tube tape recorder with vintage mics that were all meticulously refurbished by the wizards at Ambient Sound in Stamford CT. The recording was mixed and mastered by A. T. Michael MacDonald.
